#TinyBBQ Page For Safe Park, Parklet, Sidewalk Barbecues For All !

Posted:   Thursday, June 15, 2017

In San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Atlanta, folks are having mini-BBQ's in their parks, streets, sidewalks, stoops and parklets with family, friends and neighbors.    Some are family oriented, others are for neighbors or for feeding hungry residents, veterans, disabled people and others who do not or can not feed or cook their own food where they live.

A group of our peers have been doing mini-BBQ's on the streets of San Francisco for the past six years or so.    We've done more than 30 and all have been safe, fun and beneficial to our hungry people and to local businesses and 'community building' and 'harm reduction' efforts, overall.

In our case,  we use a small 18-22" Weber, Smokeless portable grill, affixed to a steel framed bike cart that stays hitched up to the bike and can be parked in any space next to a parklet, on any sidewalk (near the curb) and is safe and easy to use, set up and break down.

We've often had fine SF Police Officers or Firefighters come by to check us out, but in six years, we've never had a complaint (serious one) until this past 3rd of June, at the 443 Valencia Street Parklet which is part of a different story.

In general,  if you use small BBQ's and have water and the right tools, there is no hazard posed, even in the smallest or more congested spots around town or in parks, parklets or street corners.

We like doing our BBQ's in front of our favorite Mom & Pop (and one cooler than most upscaled, newcomer retailers) restaurants because the aroma of our cooking and presence with a #TinyBBQ attracts locals, tourists and hungry people towards us.... and towards the front door of the restaurant we post up in front of.

The folks with money we send into the restaurant, usually by just smiling and pointing our fingers.    The folks without money, get fed and everyone's happy.

This page is dedicated to #TinyBBQ 's and mini BBQ Solutions you can use to feed people, build up community and increase local businesses if you choose, in the safest, most efficient and inexpensive ways possible, no matter where you live !

Enjoy !

Build Up Community,  Feed The People and Send Business to Local Retailers and Restaurants that support community & diversity for us all.
